Black Box: Flexible video splitting independent of screen type Distribution of multimedia content in real time Hallbergmoos, February 21, 2008 - With the new Flexible DVI Video Splitter, Black Box, specialist for IT and telecommunications solutions, guarantees real-time transmission of several signal sources to a multitude of displays. And it doesn't matter whether LCD or plasma screens are being used. The device processes analog as well as digital signals and outputs them at their full image frequency. Thus animated content or movies can be displayed as well. The video splitter boasts inputs for the connection of two different video sources, such as computers and any kind of media player. The contents can be output on any number of displays, with different image areas, resolutions and frame sizes, digital or analog. The Flexible DVI Video Splitter enlarges the images across several screens, which can be assembled in any combination to form an individual motif. Enlargement across several screens takes into consideration the frames in between the displays. Thus no distortions or image jumps occur. In addition, instead of the entire image, only part of the video signal can be enlarged. "Our digital signage solution offers communication in real time", says Axel Bürger, Managing Director of Black Box Deutschland GmbH. "Multimedia contents can be modified at any time and distributed afterwards. Information reaches the recipient immediately and without losses in image or sound quality. Our product's versatility allows for a host of applications, from process control in companies, to information boards in lobbies and railway stations, to vivid video presentations at events and exhibitions." Moreover, the Flexible DVI Video Splitter can be extended any time. Any number of video sinks are simply connected to the system and positioned freely. Almost all video modes, including HDTV resolutions, are supported. The flexible and scalable solution is strictly hardware-based and doesn't require any software or a PC to operate. "With its scalability, its platform independence and its host of video formats, the Flexible DVI Video Splitter is truly an investment into the future. Contrary to conventional video screens, a single defective display can simply be replaced with any new monitor, and the application is up and running again. Thus the investment already pays off after a short time", explains Axel Bürger.
